HOW WATER RESISTANT IS MY WATCH?

There are two basic levels of water resistance for our watches, 3 ATM and 5 ATM, the details section of the product page will inform you as to the level. Here's a breakdown of both...

3 ATM or 99 feet

In technical speak this means they have "been tested to withstand static pressure for a only a short period of time at the stated depth." What this means in non-technical speak is they can be exposed to water, but should not be submerged in water for long periods of time. So don't worry about sweating on them, wearing them in the rain or washing your hands in them. However, you should try to avoid swimming in them and definitely no diving! If you do get thrown in the pool and your watch goes dead, it should be ok if you let it air dry for a couple of days. If not, send it back and we'll replace it or provide you with a refund.

Below is the Industry Organization for Standardization (ISO) definition of 3 ATM water resistance, for those of you who are interested in the subject :)

Protected in everyday life, bathing, accidental splashes, short swimming or car washing - it is resistant against perspiration, water vapor, rain drops. It is tested for water resistance up to 3 ATM, and must be able to survive 30 minutes under water at a depth of 1 m (3 feet) followed by 90 seconds under a pressure corresponding to 30 meters.

5 ATM or 165 feet

You would think this makes a big difference in the definition of water resistance but according to the ISO the only change is you can now go parachuting, hang gliding and skiing in it. We don't come up with these activities, we swear! Here's the official definition by the ISO:

CAN I REPLACE THE BATTERY?

Yes, most jewelers can change the battery on any of our watches except the regular VanDam model (the unit is sealed so the battery can't be changed)... or contact us and we can give you directions on how to replace it.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING OPTIONS

We want you to get your order as quickly as you like, and that's why we offer 3 super fast options. Standard shipping via UPS Mail Innovations for $5.95 - FREE for orders of $100 and over. There's 2 Day UPS Service for a flat rate of $11.95. And if you are really in a rush we also offer UPS Standard Overnight, but please note that the rate is much more expensive as it is calculated by UPS based on location. 

We try as hard as we can to get your order shipped out within 24 hours, but it can take up to 48 hours due to high volume or other circumstances. Once your order does ship you will receive an email confirmation with all your relevant order details as well as tracking information.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING OPTIONS

Unfortunately right now we don't have a viable shipping option for international orders. Please contact us at info@rumbatime.com and we can point you in the direction of some places that do.

RETURNS

We like to think we have one of the most straight forward return policies around - within 30 days return any watch purchased from our website and we'll either exchange it for the same style watch, issue store credit in the form of a gift certificate, or give you a refund. Please note there are no returns or refunds for items purchased on SALE, or if you purchased them somewhere other than our website.

Please send your watch, along with your original packing slip (if you still have it, if not, no big deal) and a note stating your name, shipping and email address, the color and size of the watch you want as a replacement, or whether you would like credit or a refund. All returns should be sent to the address below. Once we receive the package, we'll process your request as quickly as possible.

QUESTIONS ON THE GO-ENABLED WATCHES...?

Where can I buy things with my RumbaTime GO?

Contactless Payment technology is expanding rapidly at retailers around the world. Users can make purchases with a simple wave of their wrist at thousands of retailers such as convenience stores, restaurants, gas stations, drugstores, and even movie theatres. How do I register my GO?

To register your GO and establish your Emergency Response Profile click here. Please note that the Contactless Payment Card can only be issued in the US.

What is the difference between the Perry & Park GO styles and the VanDam GO?

The Perry and Park GO features Contactless Payment. The VanDam GO features Contactless Payment and a unique Emergency Response Profile.  

How do I load funds onto the Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card?

During the registration process you will be prompted to link your Prepaid Chip and Companion Card to a funding source such as a debit card, credit card or direct deposit. Upon linking to your desired fund source, choose the dollar amount you would like on your band and load that amount onto the Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card. Once loaded, the user can make cashless purchases with a simple wave of the wrist at thousands of retailers. Please note the Chip and Companion Card link to the same account.

How much money can I load onto my Visa Prepaid Card?

Users can add up to $500 per load and can maintain a maximum balance of $500.

What is the VITAnumber?

The VITAnumber is the unique alpha/numerical identifier that is individually assigned to each user. The VITAnumber is used to establish your account and links the user to his/her Emergency Response Profile. Unlike other ID bracelets, which print all your personal information on the band, the VITAnumber anonymizes your personal information until it’s needed.

What information is included in the ERP?

The user can include as much or as little personal information in the ERP as desired. There are a number of categories that can be populated including: name, address, emergency contacts, medications, allergy notification, relevant medical history, relevant insurance information etc.

How is my identification and health information accessed in an emergency?

First responders are trained to look for identifying information upon arriving at the scene of an accident. The GO acts like a dog tag or ID bracelet. Each watch has an identifying number linked to your Emergency Response Profile. The first responder can access the information you have stored in your Emergency Response Profile by calling the Telephone Access Center.

Is the information I input on my ERP secure?

Vita Products, Inc. endeavors to safeguard and protect your User Information whether it is stored online or offline. They have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of User Information under our control. They employ encryption technology in an attempt to prevent your User Information from being intercepted during transmission over the Internet. The Website also requires that you use a Web browser that supports 256-bit encryption. The website also uses a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. As an added security precaution, all User Information is kept on a physically separate server with firewalls to help prevent intruders from gaining access.

Although VITA has implemented these extensive measures to help protect your User Information, no technical measures are guaranteed to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your User Information, and VITA makes no such guarantees. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while they strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your User Information, they cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Why do you ask for my Social Security number?

Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a card account. A Social Security number is necessary for this verification.

I signed up for my VITAband Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card account and I can’t create a password?

Your password is automatically the last four digits of the phone number you used to set up your payment account.

Is there a fee to load funds onto The VITAband Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card?

We are continually working to make more funding sources available.

Load funds online using a debit or credit card - $2.50/load*

Unfortunately there are loading fees associated with loading funds onto the Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card using your debit or credit card in order to cover the fees we are charged from financial partners on these types of transactions. We are diligently working to find new and convenient ways to load funds onto your Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card that are more cost effective to the consumer. We thank you for understanding that we must pass these fees along.

What are the fees associated with the Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card?

  • ATM Cash Withdrawal Fee - Domestic: $1.00 per transaction
  • ATM Cash Withdrawal Fee - Foreign: $2.50 per transaction
  • Auto Phone System Call Fee: FREE
  • Customer Service Call Fee (Live Agent): FREE (first two calls), $2.50 thereafter
  • Signature Purchase Fee - Domestic: FREE
  • ACH Value Reload Fee - Deposit: FREE
  • Reload Fee – Check/Cash: FREE
  • Reload Fee - PAN: $2.50 per load via credit/debit card
  • Monthly Maintenance Fee: FREE
  • Additional Lost/Stolen Card Replacement Fee: $5.00 per Card after first Companion Card; when Companion Card is reissued or replaced for any reason $5.00 (first lost/stolen replacement is free)
  • Replacement Card Fee $5.00 (first replacement Card free, $5.00 per request thereafter)
  • Paper Check Fee: $10.00 (charged if a check is issued for funds on your Card Account)
  • Paper Statement Copy Fee: $5.00 (per monthly statement requested)

What happens if my GO watch is lost or stolen?

Given that there can be two components to the GO, the Emergency Response Profile and the contactless payment functionality, you will need to do the following if your GO is lost or stolen:

The Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card: In order to disable The Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card and stop purchases from being made, dial 1-866.902.1482 or click here. The Visa Prepaid Chip and Companion Card are protected by the Visa Zero Liability policy* on fraudulent purchases. 

Emergency Response Profile: In order to lock your account to prohibit anyone from accessing your Emergency Response Profile, login to your ERP and click the button "lost GO watch."

*The Visa Zero Liability policy covers U.S.–issued cards only and does not apply to ATM transactions, PIN transactions not processed by Visa, or certain commercial card transactions. Cardholder must notify issuer promptly of any unauthorized use. Consult issuer for additional details or visit http://www.visa.com/security.
